Let’s hear it for persistence. #BringBackOurGirls

In this life, you will be moved, whether by something or someone.

You will feel the urge to join a part of something greater than yourself and sense the burning flame of change inside your heart.

For most people that lasts maybe a week.

So let’s give a shout out to THIS GUY who is seriously committed to spending at least ten seconds a day to raise awareness for the missing girls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

Obviously, he does more than just post photos of himself,

Over the past year, he has also worked with organizations who are holding the Nigerian government accountable, demanding they do more to find the girls. Most recently, he participated in a 10-kilometer march through Lagos. He has also met local leaders to highlight the need for girls to be able to get an education without the fear of being abducted.”

But the photos are a great way to remind the global community that small acts can make people think. Make them see your message without burning yourself out in the first week when you start to lose the feeling that you’re being heard.

So you know what? If this guy inspires you (and he should) do something. Anything. Don’t psyche yourself out and think it’s not worth doing anything if you can’t solve the problem in one day.

Don’t say “why bother” just because you know deep down that you’re just another drop in the bucket.

You don’t even have to get off your ass to do something in this super-connected world we live in. JUST DO SOMETHING.
